Our story

Bluestone started with two patrol cars and one promise to every client: you will always know what happened on your site last night.

That promise shaped everything that followed, from our own control room to the shift report every client gets before breakfast. We still run the business from Port Melbourne, close to the docks, yards and depots we protect.

Is Bluestone a licensed security company?

Yes. We hold a Private Security Business Licence issued by Victoria Police, and every officer holds a current individual licence for the work they do.

Do you use subcontractors?

Our own officers cover almost every shift. For very large events we sometimes partner with another licensed company, and we always tell you first and check their licences.

Where is your control room?

In Port Melbourne, run by our own operators 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is a working space, so visits are by appointment.

Which areas do you cover?

All of greater Melbourne, from the CBD and inner suburbs out to Werribee, Tullamarine, Epping, Ringwood, Dandenong South and Frankston.

How do I check an officer’s licence?

Ask the officer to show their licence card, or ask us for the licence number and check it with Victoria Police Licensing and Regulation Division.
