Who does this privacy policy cover?
This policy covers personal information handled by Bluestone Security Pty Ltd [ABN], including our website, our control room and our officers on client sites. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What personal information do we collect?
The information we collect depends on how you deal with us: as a client, a person on a site we protect, a job applicant or a website visitor.

Police check results are sensitive information. We collect them only with the applicant’s consent and because licensing law requires them.
How do we collect personal information?
We collect most information directly from you, through our forms, by phone or in person. Some comes from our officers on site, from CCTV and alarm systems we monitor, or from referees you nominate.
Why do we collect and use it?
We use personal information to quote, deliver and report on our security services, to respond to incidents and emergencies, to meet licensing and legal obligations, and to hire and manage staff.

Is personal information sent overseas?

How do we handle CCTV footage?
CCTV footage from client sites belongs to the client. We view it only to monitor and respond to incidents, and we operate it in line with the Surveillance Devices Act 1999 (Vic) and the signage on each site.

How do we keep personal information secure?
We protect personal information with access controls, encryption and staff training, and we keep it only as long as the service or the law needs it.

How can you see or correct your information?
